The Jackson family’s links to the 18th and 19th century slave trade in Brazil

Chris Jackson gave fellow Society members the following fascinating presentation recently regarding his family’s detailed research into the potential involvement of their ancestors in the slave trade business in Brazil, during the latter part of the 18th and early 19th centuries.

Please note : Chris’s original ‘Speaker’s Notes’ have been incorporated in purple text into the presentation to aid understanding.

Chris and Liz Jackson’s research into their family history continues and they would welcome any insights or contributions which might advance their knowledge of the events of that time.
